‘Do you remember when we first came here?’ she asked.
‘Sure. We hadn’t been together long.’
‘It was new beginning for both of us. We put our pasts behind us and started a new life together.’
‘I proposed to you here. I remember that night, your hair had hi-lights that shone like gold.’
She laughed.
‘Cost me seventy quid!’ She snuggled closer.
‘It’s glorious,. isn’t it.’
She raised her head and kissed his cheek.
‘We’ve something else to celebrate now.’
He looked at her.
Her eyes shone, her cheeks were glowing, and it wasn’t all to do with the sun set.
She nodded and said
‘Daddy.’
