This week’s photo prompt is provided by Sarah Potter.
Few houses have proper chimneys, but this one keeps theirs in tip top condition.
For one endless night, it acts as a beacon to thousands as the sound of distant bells echoes through the dark sky. Magic dust will dance around decorated halls and a special visitor will sup on his warm milk and cookies. Soon children. Soon.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Lovely. We’re already in pre-Christmas excitement mode, and they do ask – how does he deliver the presents if we don’t have a chimney!
Thanks Iain.
Not long now 💜
I’m counting the days with you!

Aw! What a nice story for the upcoming season.
Thank you.

Mm … milk and cookies. Sounds like a fun plan!
Absolutely charming Di!
Thanks Keith
A clever and lovely Christmas tale. The sooner the better especially this year.
It will certainly be a different Christmas for all of us Brenda.
We do need a little Christmas!
We do Linda, especially this year.
What a lovely take, Di. It will be here before we can blink!
I know!!
Cute tale. We really will have to evolve the story of Santa now so many houses don’t have chimenys.
We do indeed, as a skinny Santa to slip through keyholes isn’t quite the same!
Hard to believe Christmas is only a month out. Time has passed strangely this year. Fun story!
Thanks.
