Saturday Mix – Mad About Metaphor, 7 November 2020

Sarah is our hostess for Saturday Mix. You can find out more here

This week we are dipping our toes into the pool of METAPHOR. Our challenge is all about the use of metaphor in our writing. You will need to use the metaphor provided in your response – which can be poetry or prose.

Our metaphor this week is:

– She has such a bubbly personality.

Bonnie is truly a bonnie lass. She has such a bubbly personality, you can feel her effervesce around you. When in her company, you can’t help but get wrapped up in her enthusiasm as it’s infectious. She’s a better tonic than any medication for dispersing the blues and the after effects last for hours.
Not many people have that gift, and I was lucky to work with someone who did.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

It always makes the work atmosphere sparkle when there is that one individual who is a celebration of life!

    • It does. I worked with someone who was the complete opposite and she dragged everyone down. We actually became friends through 10 pin bowling, and she was totally different out of the office!

Awesome! I love bubbly people as I am quite a bubbly person too!
