Good morning!
I am up bright and early to face a lovely sunny day so the washing is on and will be outside on the line shortly. We are also hoping the grass will be dry enough to cut by the afternoon as I think I heard a cow in it last night thinking it’s a field.

I’ve woken up with an idea for making a gift box which involves a cream cake. The local bakery puts them in boxes and they are the perfect size! I bought some pretty papers a little while ago but they are actually card and too thick for my cards, so will be perfect to line said box. On the outside, I have a lot of oddments of patterned papers that don’t match anything I have or I’m unlikely to use. We can then glaze it to protect them from tearing. It’s an idea for a blogging post, even if it doesn’t work and should be fun to do.
I’ve nothing to lose except a bit of time and effort, and I get a cream cake for my trouble!
Time to take Maggie for her first walk of the day now. One of us will have to stay at home as my knickers are due for delivery today. Hurrah!!
Hope your day has started well. Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Sounds like a lovely start to the day. π
It has been. I’ve had a lovely walk with Maggie, who performed both businesses (always a plus, hurrah!!). It’s warm and sunny with little wind, and I didn’t see a soul!
Hooray! π
The decorating idea sounds lovely – please include the photos when you tackle that project! I hope the rest of the day is as good!
I intend to, even if it doesn’t work because I know people who have done similar projects and it worked a treat.
Hope you enjoy your walk , hope the knickers arrive safe πππ
me too, the elastic is fading fast on my others!
That’s not good π€
Well I did buy these before we bought the boat (2014) so they’ve lasted pretty well!
Well you simply amaze me Di π
I don’t send a lot on clothes, but when I do, it’s a fair bit and I try to get something decent for my money. Tumble drying was the last straw/elastic for some, but now I’m back with a proper washing line, they have a fighting chance! As an aside, I am still wearing tee-shirts I bought when I was working for the bank (pre 2001)
I have clothes that I have had for years infact a dress and long cardigan that must be twenty years old, but a classic style and I look after it. But knickers no a couple of years at the most! Well done you π
Thanks! I have my dad’s cardy (badly repaired by me I’m afraid) which dates back to 1975 as my Mum knitted it for him for their silver anniversary. I’ll never part with it.
Nor should you π
Being creative is so fun. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
Don’t get too excited……. I’ve never done it before but pics will be posted regardless!
I am all about trying something new. I have over a hundred stamps I have never used. I started with the hobby and love the stamps, just never stuck with it. Scrapbooking and sewing stuck. Now redecorating while staying safe is my creative outlet. I am sure it will be lovely.
Thanks for the encouragement. Here’s hoping.
Lol hope you enjoyed your new knickers! π π π xoxo
They fit……… that’s good enough for me!
