Today is Friday 6th November

Good morning!
I am up bright and early to face a lovely sunny day so the washing is on and will be outside on the line shortly. We are also hoping the grass will be dry enough to cut by the afternoon as I think I heard a cow in it last night thinking it’s a field.

I’ve woken up with an idea for making a gift box which involves a cream cake. The local bakery puts them in boxes and they are the perfect size! I bought some pretty papers a little while ago but they are actually card and too thick for my cards, so will be perfect to line said box. On the outside, I have a lot of oddments of patterned papers that don’t match anything I have or I’m unlikely to use. We can then glaze it to protect them from tearing. It’s an idea for a blogging post, even if it doesn’t work and should be fun to do.
I’ve nothing to lose except a bit of time and effort, and I get a cream cake for my trouble!

Time to take Maggie for her first walk of the day now. One of us will have to stay at home as my knickers are due for delivery today. Hurrah!!

Hope your day has started well. Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
