Sandman’s Q and A for November 3rd

Here we go with some ‘fluff’ questions as our host Sandmanjazz describes them.

Have you ever bought something, I mean, you KNOW you’ve bought it, and not been able to find it afterward?

This could be described as a boat, blonde, senior or craft moment, so as we no longer live on the boat, I am far from blonde, I’m an under training wrinkly as I don’t qualify for my State Pension yet, and my memory isn’t what it was, what was the question again?
Oh yeah: Have you ever bought something and not been able to find it afterward?
Yes, a lot, and most annoying when it’s edible and I can’t find it when I fancy it.

Would you prefer more light in the morning or at night?
Definitely morning as I find it hard to sleep at night in the Summer months when it’s not only hot, but too bright!

Have you started any of your Xmas shopping yet?
I’ve got the turkey breast, sprouts and green beans in the freezer, 4 packs of stuffing in the cupboard, and our Christmas puds are last year’s because we didn’t eat them. Just need to get mince pies, roast potatoes, a slab of Christmas cake, fancy cheeses and a few nibbles.
Oh, you mean pressies?
The chocolate reindeer for the INR girls are in the drawer, and I’ve made a selection of cards up for my neighbour and an Aunt. Other than that, we shall hopefully have our £10 dash nearer Dec 25th and see what’s left, which is actually half the fun.
No idea what to get for an US present this year.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Di, you have the priorities right: food before pressies. In fact, when asked what I’d like for Christmas, I always suggest food or drink.
