Sadje is our hostess for the What Do You See challenge.
This week’s image is courtesy of Linus Sandvide@ Unsplash
( For the visually challenged reader, the image shows back of a man who is standing in a dark medieval entrance holding a flaming torch in his hand)
I have a feeling,
A sense of déjà vu,
I’ve been here before,
I was chasing you:
You turned into shadows,
My torch lit the way,
I held it aloft
To keep darkness at bay.
Where did you go?
You can’t just disappear,
I hear you and follow,
Keep ending up here!
Now you are teasing,
Your echoed laughter calls
But all I can see
Are these thick rocky walls.
I’ve been here before,
I just can’t recall when,
And can’t help but wonder
If I’ll come back again.
Note:
I felt I had seen this picture before.
This was my original take.
