Today is Saturday, 24th October

We are having a lazy day insomuch as not doing very much.
We got up around 9am and I walked the dog before breakfast. Double whammy of the business so I was well pleased.
I decided to make some cards this morning and use up some oddments. I seemed to have more odd cards than envelopes and seven more were added to my box. All were Christmas themed today.

As always one stands out as a favourite and this was literally left over paper and a greeting.

After Hubby’s set back yesterday, I made tuna fishcakes for his lunch today one of which he had with a couple of spoonfuls of beans. He’s feeling better today and says it was probably his own fault as he’d been so looking forward to his steak pie that he forgot himself. It’s bound to happen as we get more confident with solid food he can tolerate and there will be lapses in what he can and can’t have. I made three cakes so he’ll be able to have the other two separately later in the day. However, bearing in mind we believed he would be on a liquid diet for around 3 months, he’s done exceptionally well as his surgery was less than five weeks ago.

Hope your weekend has got off to a positive start.
Stay safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Beautiful cards. It’s my brother’s birthday today.

I love your cards, I am delighted hubby is doing so well. I am tired, have cold,….??? I am shielding, seeing no one? But hey no need to be down. I am tired 😴

I love the snowflake cards myself – they look so elegant! Glad that your Hubby is feeling better and that he’s able to have some solids. Being able to have solid food just 5 weeks post-op is great!!

    • We are really pleased with his progress, then he has a bad reaction and we go backwards, but all in all, we are making progress. Today, Sunday, so far, has been good.

Yay for great progress! I am so glad he’s done so well! 5 weeks, eh? Wow! Its great he’s tolerating a few foods well now! xoxo
