Thinking

How often do we sit quietly and stare into space? Hubby asks if everything is OK and it usually is, I’m just thinking. He laughs and says that could be dangerous, but asks what I’m thinking about. That is indeed the question, because it’s a lot of things!
I called my blog pensitivity101 because I tend to think a lot, and moments such as the above could be described as pensive. Instead of saying I’m worrying about something, I say I wonder, and when trying to work out a problem, I ponder.
Whenever a big decision has to be made, we always discuss it first and weigh up the pros and cons. Hubby is King of The Lists and good at putting things down on paper. It helps get things into perspective, and for me seeing something visual with anecdotes is better than flooding my head with mental arguments and opinions.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I used to say that I was the queen of catastrophic expectations. Happily that has reduced now.

  2. I am the one who ponders in our house too. 🤔

  3. Yes, an endless stream of thoughts each day like a butterfly flits from flower to flower. I like your positivity. 🙂

I think a lot too! An awful lot actually. I overthink if I am honest! 😀

Yes. I can be same too.

People want to make snap decisions instead of doing a little “deep thinking”. I enjoy taking my time and turning over the problem and then formulating various possible solutions…
