Update on funny things

Jen Goldie suggested my problems might be down to my browser, and as Hubby had also had a similar issue with not being able to access his notifications from his dashboard, checked it out. Rory also confirmed that some time ago WP had said that the new block editor might not be compatible with some browsers.
Gee thanks WP.
We’ve reverted back to Firefox, so every week or so I shall be pained with notifications of updates available again, and my system is running slow as so much is going on with it which is why we changed.

Progress?

pfft.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

2020 has been packed with changes. We have to adapt somehow.

    Were you on Chrome before?
I forget if I’ve already suggested this, but deleting all history – cookies and cache – then restarting, sometimes gets rid of these little “hiccups”!
Firefox does seem to work better with WP, though I prefer Chrome.
    Good Luck! 🙂

    • Thanks Sci. We tried Chrome and didn’t like the updates all the time. We’d set my laptop up to delete all history etc, but it didn’t always. Rory of a Guy called BLoke said he;d been advised the new WP wasn’t compatible with some browsers. So far today, all is good, and Hubby has also switched back to Firefox.
