Melanie is our hostess for Share Your World. You can check it out here

When was the last time you tried something new?  How did that go for you?
Bloody WP Block Editor. NO FURTHER

What’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever heard someone say?
Keep him, he’s useful.
(friend when Hubby was breaking into her car to retrieve locked in car keys)

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
Ancient today, about 104.

Lastly, I’ll be doing one “Halloween” themed question per week during October.  Those who don’t observe the holiday are welcome to answer or to ignore it as they wish.

Have you ever seen a dead body?
Yes……… I was with my Dad when he passed away in 1996, and I also paid my last respects to my Mum in the Chapel of Rest at the undertakers in February 2018 on the day of her funeral.

GRATITUDE SECTION (always optional)

Do you enjoy any seasonal traditions around this time of year?
Not really. When in NZ SIL cooked roast pumpkin which I grew rather partial to, but Hubby doesn’t like it so I’ve never done it here.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Very well answered Di.

  5. Thanks Di for Sharing Your World! I’ve had roasted pumpkin SEEDS, but never roast pumpkin. Isn’t it rather like baked squash? Maybe you can find a small one and roast it and share it with your neighbor, especially if your hubby is unable to digest that sort of thing yet. It’s very nutritious from what I hear tell! Others have commented plenty on that stupid editor mess, so your answer was perfect! Most strongly dislike it, but I’ve read a couple of people saying they just got on with things and don’t care what editor is used. I envy those sorts and wish they’d share their secret. Anyway. Great wise words, your hubby IS a keeper, isn’t he? And condolences on your parents. I know you deeply loved your mum… Have a stress free week Di! Give Maggie some cuddles from me!

    • Never had squash, so don’t know if roast pumpkin is similar. Yep, keeping Hubby was definitely a good move on my part.
I was glad to be there when my Dad passed away as I was also there for my Mum so that neither were alone. I didn’t have that opportunity with Mum as I was too far away. I wish on so many levels she had come to live with us, but she felt my sister needed her. Sadly Sis always needed her support one way or another.
A stress free week would be nice…………
