A Star is Born starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristoffersen is one of my all time favourite movies.
I still cry watching this track

“With One More Look At You”
Writer(s): Williams Paul H, Ascher Kenneth Lee
With one more look at you
I could learn to tame the clouds
And let the sun shine through
Leave a troubled past and I might start anew
I’ll solve the mysteries if you’re the prize
Refresh these tired eyes
With one more look at you
I might overcome the anger
That I learned to know
Find a piece of mind I lost so long ago
Your gentle touch has made me strong again
And I belong again
For when you look at me
I’m everything and more that I had dreamed I’d be
My spirit feels a promise
I won’t be alone
We’ll love and live more
Love and live forever
With one more look at you
I’d learn to change the stars
And change our fortunes too
I’d have the constellations paint your portrait too
So all the world might share this wonderous sight
The world could end each night
With one more look at you
With one more look at you
I want one more look at you
Barbra Streisand has so much talent and I love her voice. This is a great song to showcase her unique singing skills and the range that she can carry. It is great when you can make a decision not to be alone.
Her range is indeed extensive (as is Annie Lennox) and this really smacks you in the eye.
Very beautiful choice! Thanks Di! Have a wonderful Sunday!
You too Melanie.
She has amazing lungs! My favourite track of hers is “A Piece of Sky”, right at the very end of Yentl! 🙂
She such a brilliant songstress!
I love this version!
Fabulous choice Di 💜
Thanks Willow. It’s a great song from a great film by a great singer (IMO)
In mine too 💜
That gorgeous voice! Lovely 🥰 Thanks Di
thanks Christine
Barbra Streisand has always been a powerhouse. The original Star is Born is one to go down in the history books! Great share! 🙂
There were two I’m aware of before Streisand’s, one with Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954 and Janet Gaynor and Fredric March in 1937.
I never knew that. I’ll check that out. Thanks! 😊
The Judy Garland one made me cry at the end when she said she was Mrs Norman Maine.
I’ve got to look this up. Judy Garland made me cry in Wizard of Oz so I’m sure it was a great performance. 😊
It’s well worth viewing.
I will check it out. Thanks! 🙂
