Update and breathing easy

Just a quick post and update:
We have had a good day. I got up late, took the dog out for a long walk round the park (the geese are in residence, including one with a broken wing and unable to fly which we thought might perish with the water fowl virus that killed so many), had several walks besides, and generally didn’t do very much………… apart from

Laundry (Hubby put it on early and we managed to get it all dry outside)
Housework (vacuuming and cleaning windows by Hubby : WTH??)
Cut the grass back and front to stop Hubby doing it (words were said !!!)
Hubby dug up some spuds (I could have cooked them with the heat of my anger! Maybe I should handcuff him…………..)
Took him out for a short drive to relieve his boredom and get extra supplies of yogurt
Cooked a jacket spud with cheese and mixed veg for me, liquid food for him.
Accessed my blog just after 7 pm.
Planning to walk dog (final, but a must even though it’s raining), then bed.

Thank you all for your kind wishes and support. Bless you.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

😁 Sounds like me, when I am supposed to rest.
Yeah, I think the garden was pushing it though. So totally agree with ticking him off.

It is hard to keep a good man down… Men in general make the worst patients! I hope he takes it easy tomorrow.

  5. My dad used to be the same way after his heart surgery. We even thought of tying him up so just that he wouldn’t strain yourself.

  6. Doing nothing when it is the best thing to do, is still hard. I know the feeling well. Glad you had a good day.

LOL, I love this ‘I could have cooked them with the heat of my anger!’ So visual!
