Welcome to Sadje’s What Do You See Photo challenge.
(For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a covered paved street. One person is sitting in a chair in the middle of the street talking to another sitting at the side walk. There is a truck parked in the street behind them. The street is lighted up well with lights hanging from the ceiling)
‘You ever seen the driver?’
‘Yep. Told him he couldn’t park it there, but he didn’t listen.’
‘Any idea when he’ll be back?’
‘Can’t say I do. He’s been gone a while though.’
The two friends sat and jawed a bit more about everyday things and their families, then returned to the topic of the truck.
‘Do you think everything’s OK? I mean, it’s very quiet here and we don’t see a lot of traffic as a rule.’
‘That’s true, and if something as big comes the other way, there’ll be a jam.’
‘What do you think we should do?’
There was a pause as the elder moved his chair out of the way and grinned.
‘You ever hotwired a truck?’ he asked.
