He needed a strong coffee with no added milk after losing his cool.  His hands were shaking when he slammed the phone down on its cradle and he hadn’t felt this nadir since being jilted by his lover at the altar four years ago.
Yet another setback and his anger ran deep at being expected to inure the current status of his health because some idiot had misfiled the paperwork.
His consultant had already lost sight of the issues he faced every day. The man had no idea of the pain and trying to get in touch with him or his cohorts to discuss it was impossible.
No doubt if he had the funding for private treatment, they would all be falling over themselves and the matter would be resolved in days.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Hmm. Sounds like a slice of real life instead of a fiction….

  3. Great weave of words to spin a wonderful tale!
