Today is Thursday 17th September

The day dawned cold and damp, but it brightened up by lunchtime. For a change, I have no washing on the line.
Maggie is still under the weather, and I’m beginning to wonder if she’s picking up on my anxiety, though I am making a conscious effort to be upbeat and positive. She’s eaten some chicken and rice today plus a couple of her biscuits, still pestering us for her walks and slept well last night, getting me up at 6am which is normal.

Mixed bag day today.
Hubby had a bad night and in trying to get himself tired, cut the grass front and back. He’s had a little doze on the sofa.
I’ve been busy making cards and now have an additional 12 in my box, separate post will follow. I shall be writing some later so that I can get them in the post tomorrow.
Thursday here is Market Day, but we haven’t been anywhere except to walk the dog.
Our neighbour came to let us know that apparently the carnival is on this weekend! Can you believe that? We’ve seen no advertising for it, but it’s planned to go ahead. We will definitely be giving town a miss on Saturday. Hubby has his Covid test prior to his surgery on Saturday, and there is no way I am going to jeopardise his op.
Last year was a good turnout though and I got some good pictures, even of dogs LOL.

Lunch today was a baked potato with tuna fish and mixed veg. I added a couple of home grown tomatoes with mine.
I apologise for being late accessing my blog and approving any pingbacks for the 3TC.
I have 35 comments to view according to my toolbar, so I’d better get on it!
Have a good day everyone. Take care of yourselves and each other.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. My family’s beloved Maggie thought she was still a puppy at 14 years old. 🐕🐾

    • So does ours, and she’s fifteen and a half. She looked at the cat on our drive last night and gave chase, for about ten steps. The heart’s willing, but the joints won’t stand up to it now. She’s the same with gulls and crows, which she loved to chase and has forgotten herself a couple of times, bless her. What breed was your Maggie?

We didn’t have any county fairs or state fair this year. There were lots of disappointed kids but at least it didn’t turn into a COVID contagion fest! I wonder how the physical distancing will be accomplished…

    • Ha! same as the social distancing in our supermarkets. Apparently there will be no parade or beach hut craft stalls, just displays in windows and a few stalls. We’ll be staying home after Hubby’s Covid test. not taking any chances with Op Day being so close.
