Din………… the noise from hell

I hate noise, especially loud music coming from small cars that probably wouldn’t go anywhere were it not for the bass propulsion of the speakers.
Such it was today in town, coming out of a shop and feeling the pavement thrum through my shoes.
The vehicle in question was a small Citroen with an extra exhaust and I heard it coming way before it passed me. How the occupants could hear themselves speak is beyond me.
Still, I remember enjoying my music in my car, and now I’m paying for it with tinnitus.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Ah, so you’re also cursed with tinnitus. The constant companion.

  2. I can’t have TOTAL silence because my tinnitus makes the silence louder than sound, but I also can’t stand man-made noises like construction, people blaring music on their mobile phones, and people chewing with their mouth open.

Maybe I have misophonia, and you too, lol.

There are times when I’ve encountered similar cars – some were so loud that I could feel the beat in my chest and it made me feel queasy!
