You go into a shop to buy clothes and they don’t stock your size, but you can order it ‘on-line’.
You have a query on your bank account, and when you call the number, you get an automated voice inviting you to go ‘on-line’.
You order your shopping……. on-line.
You make your appointments on-line.
You get text messages for surveys and they give you a link to go to on-line.
Your communications are all on-line.
Everything you want is On-Line (or supposedly because we can’t get the DIY stuff we want, on-line or otherwise!)
Now they want to link all your communication packages into one hub ‘on-line’.
Do you think they’ve forgotten an ‘e’ and it should read One Line??

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

When you call anywhere you get a boring long report of everything, the worst of all anx then a long list of what numbers to push to get who and what you want and heaven forbid you hit the wrong one and have to start over. Pet peeve

Yes indeed I do and what happens when that one line breaks? 💜

It is pervasive. I have resisted so far to paying all my bills on-line!

    • I don’t do on-line banking and it is rare we order on-line, but sometimes we have to. I pay my bills either by variable direct debit or over the phone, though after the last couple of phone bills, that might be at the Post office instead!! It’s only one though, the quarterly water bill which is due any day.
