Today is Sunday 6th September

We’ve had a productive day so far, Hubby having cut the grass back and front (so it is bound to rain later or tomorrow LOL), and I’ve been making cards again.
Christmas is on the cards as I am sending a dozen to my aunt, the one who sends me the hats, in case she can’t get out to buy any. I intend to write some letter cards later to our friends so will be up at the Post Office tomorrow getting in stamp supplies.
These are my efforts today:

I had a couple of mishaps, but managed to recover and the end results aren’t too bad.
Sorry about the flash obliterating the pictures on the two small ones at the bottom, one is a penguin and the other is a snowman.

Other than that, it’s been a quiet day. The housework is done and lunch was our second portion of chili. I added a few cherry tomatoes to bulk it out a bit, and we followed it with banana custard. I’ve walked the dog four times so far, so getting in some exercise.
Slimming World meetings resume tomorrow and I have been working so hard in trying to get down to the lower end of my target parameters so that I have leeway between scales.
We will all be weighed with our shoes on and I doubt if any allowances will be made for that, so not only could I have a sock gain, but a boot gain as well.
Hope you are all enjoying a relaxing day.
Take care and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Very nice cards. You’ll be fine.

The cards are wonderful – especially the blue one! Sparky wanted to mow but everything is still too wet – we’ve had rain again. I’d wear sandals and no socks for the weigh in! Even if it was cold!

    • Glad you like them. The blue one has a silver ‘With Love at Christmas’ on it, which really stands out when it’s upright. We’ve got a little rain now, but Maggie has had five walks so far today!!

  3. Darn. I always forget about the socks. Now I understand where the problem’s been! Lovely day here, too. I finally got out to trim bushes and pull weeds in the front of the house – for once, it wasn’t too hot and I was able to take my time. Looks much better out there now.
