About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I love your answers and since the title says Fibbing I know you are only joking with those answers, no reason for our American cousins to take offence. If you answered these questions correctly then it would hardly be a fib would it?

    • Thanks Dave. Good to see a comment from you. You doing OK?

      • I’m in a much better place now than I have been for a few months. Still struggling with going out because of the pandemic but it’d be easier if it wasn’t for all the stupid people saying covid doesn’t exist or it’s a mental illness, I’m not convinced that I didn’t catch it last year but survived because normally following a flu jab I get ill for about a week then I’m fine, last year I was ill for over a month, lethargic, no taste and struggled to get out of bed most days. Now they are saying those are all symptoms of covid. Maybe that has left me immune to the disease but I still don’t want to take the chance in case it was a really bad case of the flu of a different type than the vaccine I had.

      • I understand perfectly and hope you continue to improve. I have only had flu once, and that knocked me flat for over a week, and I didn’t know what hit me.
We have holiday makers here who think precautions such as masks and social distancing don’t’ apply to them, so we are avoiding everyone and going out prepared and on our terms. Luckily we are able to get out and shop. Take care Dave.

      • You too, it seems to be the same everywhere, all the shops tell people that face masks have to be worn by everyone entering but they’ve been told not to enforce it so there are lots of people going in without masks on. I know masks don’t protect the wearer but since you can have this virus for 14 days without any symptoms and pass it on to others it makes sense to me to wear a mask to keep others safe. I think it’s just ignorant to not wear one unless you have a valid medical reason not to.

      • We do and gloves too. Some protection is definitely better than nothing.
