It’s early and looks like being another lovely day.
After the stress of a restless night with Maggie on Sunday, things seem to be settling back down. We do not understand her recent behaviour, sniffing the air for no apparent reason, and scent marking every five yards on our walks or five minutes in the garden. I am wondering if the treatment she had to disperse the pyometra in June has triggered another false season, which the vet said could happen, so I am watching her very carefully. I’ve let her out twice so far this morning which is normal, and she has settled down beside me, so hopefully Hubby can have a couple more hours of sleep before our day starts.
So far, my blog has seen no change, so I am taking each day as it comes.
We picked some more tomatoes yesterday and there are loads just starting to blush. They are full of flavour without being overpowering, and cook very well. The pasta dish I made the other day was delicious. I would think they will make a lovely soup.
After yesterday’s shop, we shall be having pies. potatoes and veg for dinner today. I have been careful with the diet, dutifully recording my syns, weighing any extras and looking things up rather than rely on my memory. It’s paying off and I am well back within my target parameters. Group resumes next week and I want to get below my official target according to my scales as there is always at least a two pound differential. I weigh myself in the morning and my session isn’t until 5pm, so whatever I eat during the day will have to be minimal. We also have to keep our shoes on and wear masks, so it all counts and I doubt if any allowances will be made. My plan is to go, be weighed and then come home.
It’s our consultant’s birthday and I made this card for her if you recall.
On with the day then. Hubby mentioned yesterday we might go for a field trip.
Keep safe everyone.
Morning Di, tomatoes look lovely, I hope Maggie is back to normal and you all have a good day 💜
Thanks Willow. Hope you have a decent day too.
😊💜💜💜
Good progress on the weight.
I’m really pleased, but it’s going to be hard today as I’m having practically all of my syns in that pie!!
I have found that milk tea is good for killing the desire to eat.
I have to watch my milk allowance, but a glass of cold water has a similar effect for me.
That’s good.
