Dr Tanya continues her Five Things series with this week’ question:
5 Things You Absolutely Need In Your Kitchen.
This was the kitchen area on the boat.
It had
a full sized gas cooker with built in grill
a fridge with chiller compartment
running water
and we added
a kettle and
microwave.

This is our kitchen here after our revamp last year.
It has
a full size electric cooker with built in grill
a fridge freezer
an automatic washing machine (right picture bottom corner)
a microwave
kettle.
In case you’re wondering what the silver urn is in the right picture, you might recognise it from the boat
It is our water filter which we continue to use here for drinking and cooking.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
All bases covered.
yep…… and some wall cabinets too!! lol
🤣🤣🤣
Both lovely kitchens 💜
Small but practical, and everything worked!!
That’s all you need , everything working 💜
🙂
Sounds like the essentials don’t change with location!
nope. Not worried about a dishwasher or tumble dryer, just the basics, though an automatic washing.machine and microwave are very handy!
This is a full kitchen! Amazing!
Thanks!
