Tagged for a Liebster award

I have been tagged by Janis aka The Momshie Diaries  for the Liebster award.
Thank you for your kind thought Janis. I appreciate it.
I’ve been nominated for this one a few times, but I love the questions and answers the awards generate, so am happy to join in for that part.

The rules for Liebster Awards are:
*Thank the Blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
*Answer the 11 questions given to you.
*Name 11 fun facts about yourself.
*Nominate 11 other Bloggers.
*Ask your nominees 11 questions.

    1. What piece of stationery do you love the most?
      Probably my pen.
    2. What is the best Happy Meal Toy ever?
I can’t say as I’ve never bought a Happy meal
    3. Which fried chicken brand is the best for you?
We used to enjoy a KFC years ago, but ended up only ‘renting it’. Fried foods are a definite No No now.
    4. Do you buy generic brands?
It depends on the product, but we aren’t brand loyal for anything as a rule as we live on a strict budget and have to get what suits us for our money.
    5. Would you wear a preloved clothing?
If you mean second hand, it depends, though I do have my dad’s cardy, and that has been loved beyond limits. I still have it and when my time comes to meet my Maker, I want to be cremated in it with the pockets full of dog biscuits ready to join my fur babies at Rainbow Bridge.
    6. Where is the scariest place for you?
At the moment, our High Street as it is full of tourists who are ignoring the wearing of masks and social distancing.
    7. What is your favorite December memory?
The year I got my bike. Santa couldn’t get it down the chimney, so left me a letter under the tree to say I had to go up in the roof for my present.
    8. What mattered to you the most when you were in 7th Grade?
We don’t have grades as such here in the UK, but I hated Grammar School (11 to 16 years of age for me) where they stripped me of my confidence and introduced me to the worries of weight control because I didn’t tick their boxes.
    9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I am lucky to have so many so other than my answer to Q7, I’d go with visits from my great grandparents and she making clothes for our dollies out of the remnants from frocks she made for us.
    10. Do you remember your first ever username?
I have only had the one, pensitivity101
    11. Do you have a favorite post? If so, please share it with us!
I have several, but Daddy’s Little Girl and I am My Mother’s Other Daughter are probably two of the best I’ve written (in my opinion).

Don’t ask, but for some reasons on a correction, my questions have come out alphabetical! Oh well, it’s different!!

Fun facts about me?

I prefer dogs to people
I can’t make custard unless it’s the kind you make with boiling water
I hate celery and broad beans, even the smell of them
I’ve only once had success with pork crackling
Likewise, I have only once had success with ‘top hat’ yorkshire puddings
I had some of my early poetry published in the 1980s
I won a hairdryer in a Judy (girl’s comic) competition in 1966. My mother was still using it in 2017.
I’ve only scored 180 once in darts, and no-one was there to see it.
Hubby and I had more fun in Alton Towers in 1992 than the kids on our coach.
I had never been abroad until my honeymoon in 1991 when we went to Amsterdam. I was 35.
I had never been on an aeroplane until 1993, and my first flight was a return trip to Amsterdam for our wedding anniversary.

I’ll skip the nominees but invite anyone to answer my questions should they wish to do so:

1. How old were you when you had your first flight?
2. What is your favourite colour?
3. Housework: do you prefer to hoover or dust?
4. Do you have a garden?
5. What is your favourite vegetable?
6. What is your taste in music?
7. Do you play an instrument?
8. Are you an only child?
9. Are you in touch with any of your school friends?
10. How did you meet your partner?
11. Do you celebrate anniversaries?

There you have it then. There are a lot of worthy nominees out there. Have fun if you decide to participate.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
