True to the contrast in British weather, the day is gloriously sunny compared to the previous two days wet, windy and cold!
The washing is on, and will be out on the line shortly. No doubt the launderette will be crammed today with holiday makers catching up on their washing and generally drying out.
It makes me think of years ago on a camping trip. It was just the two of us so between 1991 and 1995. It was a stormy night and people had laughed at the couple cocooned in a second tarp secured with storm guys by the hundred.
We were dry though, which was more than we could say for a young family, in particular a little girl of about 6. She was getting it in the neck from her mother for ruining her new nightie which was stained from their canvas where she had touched the sides as she slept.
Not all camp sites then had a laundry room so we were quite lucky here as the nearest launderette was something like 4 miles away in the village.
Not much on the agenda today. Hubby will have the second portion of curry from yesterday and I took a couple of sausages out of the freezer last night, so will do something along the lines of a stir fry with one and Hubby will have his in a sandwich later.
Camping memories, not my forte lol. Have a great day 💜
you too Willow
Camping was fun years ago, but not in the rain.
We had loads of experience in the rain in 2007! We’d sold our house, had to leave our temporary lodgings, and ended up house hunting in a tent! We got so sick of getting flooded out, we bought a small caravan and lived in that for a few months.
Yikes
Yeah. not a good time, and we finally found a house in September.
I hope you have many years of happiness and health in your new abode.
WE were in the cottage for 7 years, then ended up on a narrow boat for three, and we will have been here 3 years come Sept. The bungalow is extremely cheap to run and is only 13 years old. had we come this far North in 2007, we could have had the pick of the estate!
