UPDATE! WordPress Owners: Please Read

I’m not a business, I’m a hobby blogger and don’t have plug ins, multi social media accounts or emails, so I like to keep things simple and straightforward.
I wouldn’t be very happy with the introduction of a small annual fee though, because once established, small tends to grow.

***UPDATE***

Patty has just posted an email address for someone at WP who is actually working on ‘accessibility’ for bloggers. Let him know your gripes about the Block Editor, and tell him why you hate it and want to keep the old one.

If anyone who reads this is not happy with the new Block Editor, if you don’t want to use it, wish it had never happened, and quite literally hate the thing, then please reblog this post, share it constantly on social media, and let’s see if we can get WordPress to take notice of us.

Dear WordPress, you have started to force the Block Editor on your blogging community. You must have your reasons for this, and I supect they are commerical ones. After all, you have to make a profit, and you continue to provide a basic blogging platform free of charge to…

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

This is good and I have heard this suggestion, but for myself, I am not even willing to pay a small fee to keep the old editor going, otherwise I would share.
So Blogger will be for me still. Its free.
And after this evening shocker at work… Well.. Some things are going to be happening again in my life, by the looks if it. 😔

    • I’m not happy about paying a fee either because small gets bigger. Just catching up with my blog Liz so haven’t read any posts from you today yet.

That’s what I am thinking too: “small gets bigger.”
Especially when I don’t earn money from my blog.

  2. Thank you
Not afraid of change, but this bloc editor stinks

Ugh! I am not a huge fan of the block editor! I have opted for the old editor as long as I could, but when the changes came, have tried to adapt! I can see some of the upsides, but it’s a steep learning curve for me as a hobby blogger myself 😉 If I had a team working on this, but alas: just me when I can carve out a few minutes to put together a few coherent thoughts with images…then try to post! Thank you for posting this!
