The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Aug. 22/2020

Our Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “brush.” Use it as a noun, a verb, or an idiom. Have fun!
Thanks Linda.

I’m thinking of a proposal. I mean it’s not every day someone has a toy thrust at them and the question’ Let’s get married’ at the same time.
But this is how it happened with my first husband.
The family knew a friend who made stuffed toys, and they were renown for Basil Brush.
I had two, a small one the size of the one used with Mr Derek on TV who sported a red jacket, and a larger one that occupied the entire passenger seat in my car who sported a blue jacket.
The proposal was made with the small one.
I took it as I was a fan and collected cuddly toys, and said OK.
I don’t have either Brushes now………… nor that husband.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

A cute proposal story – too bad you don’t have the toy but I sense there was no regret losing that husband!
