It had been the district to beat all districts. Only the best would live or do business here.
Compulsory purchases had been made, previous residents paid handsomely for their real estate. Designer high-rises and office blocks of the best architecture were built, but none leased.
Why? Because He wouldn’t allow it.
Now the demolition crews were moving in, and the elite area was to be levelled.
Billions of dollars invested in property now worthless and no offer of compensation.
But it didn’t matter. He was in charge. He was a god. He wanted it gone.
Because it blocked his view.
