Young Melanie has come up with SCHMUTZWORTSUCHE for our word of the day challenge. Yikes!!This was her graphic too, so I pinched it!
We never learned interesting words like this at school. Chances are our teachers didn’t know of them either as it wasn’t in the school curriculum. Today everything is done via a computer so maybe they wouldn’t know how to pronounce it, let alone spell it.
In my day, a smooch was a nice slow dance snuggled under the chin of the one you loved, a wart something on your foot, finger, or if really unfortunate, the end of your nose, a zoo somewhere you visited to watch animals being fed or cleared up after, and che brings me neatly to my opening words……..
