Today is Thursday 13th August

Good morning all!
It’s a lot cooler today and we’ve actually had some rain!
Hubby was out walking the dog at 5.30 as he had a lot of pain in his legs and needed to get the circulation going. I was just getting up to let her out and he said he’d take her with him.

I’ve spent the majority of the morning on the puzzle. I didn’t do very much yesterday as I just couldn’t get into the swing of it, but today I sat down and put some pieces together separately and then all of a sudden I could see where my little mass fitted. I’ve done quite a lot, well over 100 pieces today. Funny how it goes like that.

I’ve opened up my blog and WP is bouncing me into screens I don’t want. I think they are related to the new editor and I have to refresh my screen every time I want to do something. I wish they’d just leave it alone. It ain’t broke for heaven’s sake!
I have 37 comments to attend to so I shall be getting on to those shortly.

There is a fine hazy mist outside, and Hubby said this morning he could hardly see the beach huts as it was coming in off the sea. It was lovely to walk along the prom and not see a soul he said. Hopefully the little darlings will stock up with their beer, crisps, ice cream and ready meals and stay inside their caravans today.
It’s market day today which has actually revived very well over the past few months. I can’t see anyone browsing for too long today as the rain will seep into their clothes. I remember days like that when we were on the boat and it was hard to get the clothes dry.  Condensation was a major problem in the winter and also on days like this though we were lucky in having the covers so that gave us some drying space.

Lunch today is fish and wedges for Hubby and I have some salad and ham left so shall have that with a few wedges too.

Have a good day and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

So glad the heat has dissipated. We are a little cooler in the mornings but the forecast is for 80 again today. We are having left over spaghetti and of course MORE squash. I will be so happy when the last is harvested.
