100 Word Wednesday: 161

Thanks Bikurgurl for supplying another 100 word Wednesday challenge.

‘How long have we been friends?’
‘About forty five years I think. Why?’
‘You know I said years ago that you could always count on me and that I’d go anywhere with you?’
‘Yeah. I remember. Why?’
‘Well, we’ve been walking a fair while, and I was kinda wondering where we’re going.’
‘We’re just out for a walk.’
‘I know, but we’ve been walking for a fair while and I’m hungry.’
‘That’s good as I’m going to treat you to lunch at the best diner in town. It’s just around the corner.’
‘Er, there is no corner Harve.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

This made me smile. Two friends just lost in each other’s company and you can feel the trust – trust that happens when you’ve been friends for so long!

  6. Bikurgurl says:

I love this – friends reminiscing of time gone by and time to come 🖤 Thank you for joining us again this week 🖤
