Today is Sunday, 2nd August

Happy birthday to my third nephew who is 52 today. I haven’t seen him, other than a photograph and he is SO like his Dad (other brother), since he was about 17.
There are a couple of other birthdays this month, my second oldest nephew will be 53ย  (last I heard he was in the US), a nephew in NZ will be 36 and my great niece will be 9.
Come Wednesday, it is my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary, and they would have celebrated 70 years this year.

Well, I saw morning and it sort of flitted away from me. With the sun beating down on us, and cars arriving in our road like Le Mans, we decided we weren’t going anywhere and would have yet another lazy day avoiding everyone, antisocial gits that we are! LOL
I could not tell you what I did though other than walk the dog, put some washing on and get lunch, which today was ginger and pineapple pork.
This afternoon Hubby has been working on his new project and I made a handful of cards.
I had a few ideas but suddenly they escaped me, so I only made 8, 6 for Christmas

and 2 to replace a pair of the Hello cards I used yesterday to our friends.
Not a bad day really, so I can settle down to my blog and catch up with everything as it is 4.30 in the afternoon now!

Hope you’ve all had a good day so far.
Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Lovely cards and sounds like a relaxing, but productive day for both of you.

Mine has been a relaxing day.
I made the mixed spice sponge cake. Left it a little longer than needed, so a little crisp around the edge, but edible with custard. (My soya custard.) So I went out to get my custard I have and soya milk while there.

Lunch was tuna sandwiches and then cake with custard.

All afternoon outside, chatting with neighbours.

Now not long come in. Having mash, baked beans and quorn burger, for dinner.
    Might have a dvd on.

We are having a lazy day too! Went for a walk between the rain showers and Sparky has been pulling some weeds and clearing a tree that we overlooked when we pulled them up in the spring. It had roots that went to China so he ended up using a shovel!

  5. It is so very hot here. I didn’t get out early enough to water of do any yard work. So my outside Annie time was very limited. I will be happy if the forecast for next week is accurate and ten degrees cooler.

    • It’s hot tonight and I have the windows on the catch and fan going. Hubby has ordered a window cable lock so that I can have the window open and no-one can climb in.
