FOWC with Fandango — Precious

There are many things that are precious to different people for different reasons. The gift of a child, their first step, tooth and smile.

I was not blessed with motherhood, but I hold so many things that are equally precious.

Precious are the memories I have of my Mum and Dad.
Precious are the few items I have that belonged to each of them.
Precious is the time I shared with them during the later years.
Precious are the memories I am making with Hubby.
Precious are the mementos and knickknacks we’ve collected over the years.
Precious is yesterday, today and all our tomorrows.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I avoid using the word precious to describe things since in the code of my profession “precious” indicates most likely the direct opposite!

    • I have The Precious in a box in the cupboard. I’ve only worn it three times but at least with the pockets in the bra, I don’t have the hydraulic sound effects when I lean forward! Very disconcerting in company!
