A member of my family wanted an extension to their conservatory and their partner came up with the idea of a pergola. They decided to use willow fence type screening to provide shade, but were most upset when it caved in following continuous heavy rain.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Tut tut!
hehe. Shouldn’t laugh really, but they got it sorted in the end by putting ‘rafters’ up to support the fencing
Some people evoke those kind of emotions. π€ͺ
Oops!
oh yeah!
I never cave π
ha!

I suppose there is always the possibility of disaster when you have a DIY project…
We’ve had a few ourselves, but he didn’t put anything up on the roof to support it, which was soon rectified!
I do love a wattled fences, both living and non, but can’t get my husband to agree to my putting them in our yard π I found this fun website with lots of options:

Thanks for the reminder π€

I love these posts! Thank you so much for sharing! I thought I had posted some of the pictures from when we were frequenting a local Medieval Village reproducing who has wattled fencing – both living and non-living – on the property….I can see my writing and my blogging are not the same thing (here if you’d like to see it: https://bikurgurl.com/2016/11/13/part-i-villag) π€Thank you so much for sharing π€
thanks for the link. Fascinating stuff. We saw how the coopers used to make the barrels when on holiday in Cornwall many years ago.
Yes! I love these ‘authentic’ living museums. This village is based on a ‘typical’ medieval English village. I did loads of research, but was surprised to find that I {again!} never completed my posts on the topics. I’m terrible about starting to write posts and never finishing. My goal for the coming year is to focus my monkey mind and finish some of my projects – or finally let them go. I have craft projects, garden projects, purging projects…I get a certain amount finished, get overwhelmed or bored — or life gets in the way — and I move on. I finally set up a separate office in my dining room since my husband will be working from home indefinitely, and it’s been the single most time consuming and productive project I’m actually going to complete in ages! In fact, that’s another post I’ve started and left unfinished! Sigh. I am always inspired by your productivity on your blog! π€ Thank you!
You’re very kind Kelly, but my time is my own as I’m no longer working, and there is only Hubby, me and the dog to worry about. I do tend to post too much though, but I enjoy the prompts and get carried away sometimes!
I think it’s awesome!! So inspiring π€
Thank you. I appreciate that.
