Photo Challenge #324

This is cruel!!
Nekneeraj has posted his own picture of one of my favourite confectioneries,  fizzy sour rainbow jellies.
My mouth is watering and I haven’t even prepared my post for it yet!

Join in here:

Sour jellies in a jar,
Tempting me from afar,
Making my mouth water some
Thing is, I cannot stop at one.
Open lid and dive right in,
Sugar coated and savouring
Such delight on smacking lips
Licking fizz from my fingertips.
Doesn’t do the diet much good
But there’s no reason why it should
A little of what you fancy they say,
Now kindly take the jar away!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Hard to resist!

Oh yes. I remember these sweets and I loved them. They would be too sweet for me now. But when I have had those rare really bad sweet tooth moments, like today, I would probably eat them regardless, with knowing how I have been in the past with other sweets I associate too sweet now.

    • I love jelly babies, jelly beans and fruit pastilles too.

      • Liz says:

Fruit pastils not had in a very long time and that was before I changed the way I eat some years ago. Definitely not one I could eat now and not a sweet I aim for if a craving.
I have had jelly babies at some point last couple of years. It was sweet for me, but it didn’t stop me eating them regardless. But this was brought on by the situation that was going on for some time.

      • I go through phases of sweet, then savoury, and then indifference. Wish the latter was more prominent!

      • Liz says:

Yes, when sweet hits bad for me, I try to go for savory. But today, it was the sugar.

That was a great, and fun to read.
