Thursday Write Photo: Glisten

It’s Thursday, the day when Sue Vincent sets her Write Photo challenge.
You can find more details here

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a twilit beach, the sea shimmering in the low light. There are rocky islets silhouetted against the water and what might be a figure, running towards…or away from the waves.

Come to me, my Beloved,
Cast off the shackles of your past
And join me in the seas of forever.
Bathe with me in the moonlight
Under the petticoated whispers of cloud.
Let us rejoice in our union,
Blending with the silver strands
That glisten on the water.
Do not be afraid my Dearest,
I will protect you from mortality
As I embrace you with my yearning.
Time is imperative,
I feel your hesitation and sigh:
Like the tide, you turn and run
Away from me, your destiny,
But I am patient,
You will be mine.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
