I found an old photograph today, one my Mum gave me about 10 years ago that I’d tucked away with my old passport photo.
The photograph was of a young woman I didn’t know yet there is a family likeness.
This is my maternal grandmother who died in 1951, and the only thing I have apart from her cameo brooch left to me by my Mum in her will.
This is my Mum with Bro around 1951 I’d guess.
and this is Mum and me way back in the early 80s.
This will always be my favourite picture of us though, taken in October 2016
So here is my Mum and her Mum:

Beautiful beautiful women, all around.
thank you. I understand my grandmother was tiny, about five feet two. Mum was around 5 feet 7 the same as me, then she started to shrink. I’ve lost an inch and a half in height over the past four years though.
My mom was the shrimp of the family. She was 5 ft 4. Mt brothers are 6 ft 4 and 6 ft 1. I am now the shrimp at 5 ft 7. Both my daughters are taller than I am.
My paternal great grandfather was six feet seven and my paternal great grandmother four feet 3. They had 6 children. She was an ace with flicking the tea towel!
Precious gems to have!
I’m glad to have something.
You have a look of your grandma! Graceful ladies.
thank you very much
You’re welcome my friend
You sure all do resemble each other, even your bro. Lovely photos Di.
Thanks Fransi. There are some good ones of Bro and I in my fishing post

Great photos!! Looks like a fun day.
Never been fishing before ever, caught the first fish, which happened to be the only snapper of the day! Brilliant day.
Another great memory. Snapper’s one of my favourites as it happens. Very tasty.
this one certainly was!
There really is a family resemblance!! Too often old photos are lost when people forget who is in the picture. Glad you have such nice photographs.
I have a collage of the generations in my family and there are photos of my grandparents and great grandparents n both sides. Going the other way, my nieces and nephews are now parents/grandparents in their own right!
Treasures! 💖💝
They are Paula.
