And so the learning begins…………

Oh what fun it was trying to work out how to do previously simple things and getting more and more confused by the second.
I made some cards this afternoon and took pictures of my efforts as normal.
Trying to download the images was ‘fun’. It seemed that the computer was scanning my chip and trying to recover everything on it, which would have been ghosts of hundreds of images I’d deleted. Hubby to the rescue and everything stopped. Literally.

It’s so frustrating for me being used to a particular procedure I’m comfortable with when  suddenly a screen view isn’t there and I panic. Both of us are on a learning curve, and if Hubby ends up getting  new computer at a later date, at least he will be more familiar with the software!
Seems the view I want isn’t necessary as the system copies my images into paint when I click on the icon I wish to work on. Everything else is the same, so I have some piccies for you of my work this afternoon.

I cut out centre ovals and used some leaves and flower designs on the one edge then added a coloured sheet on the inside. Not exactly how I imagined them, but I think they’re OK.
The others are the 3D 20’s ladies to complete the set with this one:
I have an identical set of four to make up. They are really fat though, so would come in the next bracket for postage, which is about a pound compared to 70p for a standard first class letter up to 100g.

Off for a game of darts now (I haven’t been doing too well lately) and whilst the lampshade below is no longer in situ as we changed the fitting to one that sits flush to the ceiling some time ago,
both of us have had a damn good go at kebabbing the dog food.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    The cards are fabulous!!

  4. Those are all so pretty and creative. Well worth the work. And the dart in the lampshade cracked me up. That’s something I would do!

I love the cards – they really are spectacular! The photo with the dart in the shade made me laugh. I’ve never played darts so I can only imagine that all of mine would end up stuck in the light, the wall, and the ceiling…

    • We have some new ventilation spots in the wall, and our chalk board (that was an old picture) has a few piercings too, but our aim is better and I’ve compensated for guidance by standing as far to the right wall as I can before I throw as everything tends to drift left after my surgery..
