  • Answer the 11 questions given to you
  • Nominate 11 other bloggers
  • Ask your nominees 11 questions
  • Notify your nominees once you have uploaded your post

Questions

  1. What is your favorite book and why?
Precious Time by Erica James. It’s the story of a sngle Mum taking her young son on an adventure before he starts school. It has humour, sadness, family conflict and is so very true to life.
  2. What song do you currently have on repeat?
None. I rarely listen to music these days, but if I did, I like Il Divo.
  3. Which season (Autumn, Spring, Summer, or Winter) of the year best describes you?
I think there’s a little of me in all of them so it;s hard to pick one.
  4. What is your most prized possession?
    My wedding rings.
  5. Which historical figure would you most like to meet and why?
William Shakespeare to ask him to explain his sense of humour.
  6. What makes a good blog?
IMO, variety, honesty, humour and home life, participation and feedback, plus acknowledgement of other readers who post comments on posts.
  7. Back to the past or forward to the future?
Past please, but only the last 31 years since Hubby and I have been together.
  8. Your dream vacation?
    New Zealand again
  9. The greatest movie of all time?
Not that much of a movie goer, though I;ve seen some good ones! Some of my favourites are It’s a Wonderful Life, The Glenn Miller Story, The Abyss, The Terminator, and Daybreakers for an original take on an old theme.
  10. Wealth or health?
    Health definitely.
  11. Your proudest moment?
When one of my foster kids came back to say ‘Thank You’. He’d confided in me that he’d got in with a wrong crowd and needed help. Although he had to be moved, I told him I would always be there for him and he wasn’t alone. I was so proud to see him there on my doorstep, a confident and successful young man .

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Congratulations. 🙂

Oh how nice for one of your foster kids to come back to say thank you. That would have been such a special moment for both of you.

    • It was indeed a wonderful moment Liz. The other was a letter from the mother of another young lad who was with me for just two weeks. She never had a good word to say about anyone, and never thanked anybody for anything, but I got a letter I still have it.

  5. Congratulations, Di. 31 years, wow! Health is definitely the better choice. And you must have been so proud of your foster kid!
