Today is Thursday 9th July

It’s wet, windy and chilly. It’s been raining all night, and when Maggie got me up at 3am desperate for a wee, we got a ‘little damp’.

As the days go by, time seems to drag, then suddenly it’s the end of another week. My days are measured by the Blog Challenges (setting my own don’t count)

Melanie’s Share Your World, MlMM Wordle, Fandango’s Photo Challenge, Sadje’s What do You See.

MlMM Photo Challenge, Frank’s Dutch Goes the Photo Challenge (absent at the moment)

One Liner Wednesday, Friday Fictioneers, Flash Fiction for the Purposeful Practitioner

Tale Weaver, Sue’s Write Photo

Frank’s Fibbing Friday alternate weeks, Jim’s musical challenge alternate weeks, Dylan Hughes First Line Friday alternate weeks

Sarah’s Saturday Mix, Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt, Shweta’s Six Word Story Prompt (note a lot of ‘S’s there!)

Sunday Whirl Wordle, Sunday Photo Fiction, MlMM Sunday Writing Prompt and my sincere apologies for oversight originally on posting this, Jim’s Song Lyric Sunday (thanks for the nudge Melanie)

There are daily challenges too, but I must admit I have cut back on those to a degree.

We will not be going anywhere today. Maggie will get her walks but probably not as many as she would on a dry day.

The Bat Capes are out of storage as they cover more of us and are easier to dry indoors than our yellows. Dinner today is meat free as I’m doing ginger and pineapple with peppers and carrots on rice.

Keep safe everyone

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Love those capes have a good day πŸ’œ

  2. I love those capes as well. Had so many of them. They dry so much quicker than my more expensive climbing waterproofs. Plus it’s cool to pretend to be a bat sometimes….

The recaps of prompts is great!

  4. Uh, I see on Sundays that perhaps you forgot/overlooked Jim’s Song Lyric Sunday in which you usually participate! But thanks for the recap. There are some there that I might try sometime! πŸ™‚

The bat capes are wonderful! I’m going to see if I can find them on-line. They would make perfect Christmas gifts for a couple of people I have on my list. We are having barbecue chicken sandwiches and steamed green beans from the garden tonight…

    • We got these on the internet by mail order about 10 years ago and are called SAS capes.
Hubby’s looked them up and says try
They don’t do the black ones now but have green
“brand new olive green army style ripstock poncho/cape”
      Any good?
