It was perfect, and if you didn’t look too close, you couldn’t tell.
It was great for hide and seek, though the Bishop wasn’t that impressed when he caught them. He had to suppress a smile though as he and his classmates had done exactly the same years before.
Cutbacks had hit everyone then, not just the church. So rather than let it appear in disrepair, the builders had put up a mirror to reflect ‘the good side’.
The cloisters had become known as The Hall of Mirrors ever since.
