Today is Saturday 20th June

It’s the longest day today, which is very true as mine started just after 3am when the sound of birdsong hit the air in triplicate as I recognised pigeons, blackbirds and robins. I wonder how many of us remember the ‘turns’ in Variety Halls or Entertainment Shows where someone would imitate bird song. They were very popular when I was growing up, yet you don’t see anything like that now.

Maggie decided she wanted to go out at 4.30, and it was quite light. The birds were still in full voice, singing away to each other atop posts, roofs and aerials, some starlings already on the grass after the worms. I wonder if worms actually respond to bird song like snakes do to the charmer’s music? Now there’s a thought.
The sun comes up at the front of the house and we’ve been down on the beach to see the birth of the new day on several occasions. It is truly wonderful to see and be a part of.

Dawn 5th August 2018Dawn: Christmas Day 2018

It promises to be a glorious day, one of the hottest so far, so we will be walking the dog shortly then staying in until the early afternoon.

Not much on the agenda today, shopping, washing and housework are all up straight, and the curry mix is soaking for dinner.

Hope the sun is shining on you and you are keeping well.
Tale care and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Beautiful sunrises! Today I’m traveling to visit my friend, saintvi, so we can do some geocaching. We will be in nature and physically distanced AND wearing masks… But none of that will lessen the fun! I just hope the temps don’t top 90F…

  4. Hope it was a great day for you.

  5. It’s truly wonderful indeed. That’s a beautiful view 😍
