The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS June 20/2020

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “zz.” Find a word with double-z in it and use it in your post. Enjoy!

I was going to pass on this one today, but reading another post I had a light bulb moment

This is Claude, a wild buzzard that took a shine to smoked bacon and would come calling for his breakfast. I swear he heard it sizzle!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

They have an incredible sense of smell.

    • We always knew when Claude was soaring overhead as he had a notch in his wing. One day, he sat on our gate post, and another on the front wall. We got within three feet of him, but always appreciated he was wild.

One day the hawk that lives in the trees behind the house was sitting on the rail of our deck. I think he was grounded because of rain. Great to look at, but we weren’t about to go out and anywhere near him. That’s a great way to get seriously injured.

      • Claude came to us and sat on our garage roof then progressed to the front of the house as that was where the kitchen was!!
