Today is Thursday 18th June

and it is WET!!!!

It has been raining most of the night and all morning……….. apparently.
I was awake at 1 am, then again at 5.45 but Maggie didn’t want to go out.
Next thing I knew it was 7.15 and Hubby let her out into the garden. I rolled over and went back to sleep until 9.45.

I eventually got up and had a shower, washed my hair, faffed about with the dryer, did my exercises, then decided it was too late for breakfast, so had a cereal bar and cup of tea.
Lunch today for Hubby is fish, wedges and peas, and for me I’m having the second half of the box salad I bought yesterday and a vegetable frittata which will take as long to cook as his dinner in the oven.

I chopped up half a dozen green beans, a small carrot and added some peas, then scrambled 3 eggs, put the lot in a lined loaf tin, topped with a sliced tomato and put it in the oven at 175 C.
This is the one I made last year with cheese. I’ve just thought I hadn’t added that or an onion today, so when it comes out of the oven, I’ll grate some cheese over the top to give my meal extra flavour. It’s a free dinner today as any cheese will be my second A option.
This is today’s with and without flash

Hope you are all enjoying sunny skies and good days.
Take care everyone

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

That looks delicious. I enjoy frittatas as well and often have one for my main meal.

I think I’ll try this recipe.

    That looks a lovely meal.

Yes, miserable wet weather. (Unless your under a blue skies umbrella.) Or something just as cheerful.

Sorry you are having a dreary day. We are having scorching temps in the high 80s (30 -32C) with no clouds and no rain. Everyone is watering their lawns to try to keep the grass alive. We go from monsoon to desert heat and back every week it seems.

    • Our weather is also erratic. I don’t mind it being a bit dreary today, and have managed to walk the dog in between showers. It’s brightening up a little now so we’ll both take her out shortly. Keeping local today.
