We were up early as our appointment was at 9am but we wanted to give Maggie a walk as usual and treat it like a normal day…………… she wasn’t convinced.

Hubby was allowed into the surgery as are all owners judging by procedures today, but everyone is still keeping their distance and not overcrowding reception.
Hubby saw the lady vet who was very good with Maggie again, giving her a thorough once over and internal examination. No ultrasound was necessary.
Everything is as it should be, though there is no guarantee it won’t come back. There might be a slight discharge in a month or so as she may have a false season, but we know the signs to look for if it’s something else now and will react quicker than we did this time.
We gave her an extra treat today……. a worming pill! We usually get them from the pet shop but the packets say not to give to dogs that have been unwell, so I wasn’t taking any chances. Administering the single dose wasn’t a problem as I wrapped it up in chicken.
It is such a relief, and thank you all for your good wishes and concern. She is loved by so many.
We decided to do the little bit of shopping for our neighbour on the way home as it was all in one shop so she was well pleased.
We also looked at sheds and petrol lawn mowers while we were out and saw one of each to suit. With interest rates so low for savers, we’ve thought blow it, so I can juggle more pennies now and Hubby won’t know himself.
YAY!!! What wonderful news!!! Just splendid.
Thanks Fransi. It’s a relief! I kept telling myself she was back to her normal self and if anything was wrong, she wouldn’t be like that, but there was always that niggle. Can’t help it, she’s our baby, but she’s OK. π
From what youβve been writing about her she sounded okay to me too. But you never fully relax until you hear it from the Vet. I think you all deserve a special treat today.
No, you’re right, I couldn’t. As for a treat, I’m eating it…….. creme brulee ice cream. Naughty, but oh so good!!
Mmm, sounds very yummy. I do have a weakness for ice cream myself.
Sending some by proxy………………..
Thank you!! Spoon ready.
make it a big one……………………… π π π
Ha! Will do Di!! π
This is really good news. A load off your minds.
Oh yeah! π
π
Yay, for Maggie and hugs for you all. β€ And exciting about a new shed and mower. Xx
Just got to get it all sorted with orders and delivery, though he intends to still look around for a bit rather than rush into something he might regret later.
Ahh, a fun thing to do, Di. β€
Glad sheβs well πΆπ everything goes down with some chicken ππ
Thank you.
Yay. That’s great news, Di. I’m so happy for all of you.
thanks Shweta
Best news ever!!!
thanks! Made a good start to the day.
Your post is up living and it sounds like you had a good day and the underling fear is now gone.
Thanks Bettylouise. Maggie is good, and we only have one more day of antibiotics
This is very good news! Give Maggie an extra pet from me. Sounds like you are celebrating her good health with a new mower and a shed!!
Shed first as we have nowhere to put a mower until we’ve got one! We’re getting there.
Maggie is good, hopefully we won’t have to take her to the vet for a while now and she can get over the trauma of it all. Hubby said she was extremely agitated, but the vet was talking to her all the time she was making her examination, He weighed her, and she’s 15.15 kgs so still a good weight for her size.
