Thank you, but…………….a reblog

Today we are both bored out of our skulls and I remembered writing this.
Maggie has been restless, and no amount of fuss, treats or walks seems to settle her, so I guess she’s finding it too. We even gave her a bottom shower to help cool her down as it’s got quite warm here (and check the plumbing to see how thing are and they are clean).
Our field trip got us the hose parts we wanted but nothing else, but at least it was nice to get out for a couple of hours.
Housework and washing done, meals had, and nothing appeals to do.
It’s at times like this I wish I could nap in the afternoons like she and Hubby do.

Dog communication to a dumb human:

thanks dog
We’ve been back from our walk
For a while now.
Thank you for taking me.

dog biscuit
Yes, that was very nice.
Thank you.
I enjoyed the biscuit.

tummy rub
That tummy rub got rid of my indigestion,
Thank you again.
Sorry I belched in your face.
stroking
Stroking my head is relaxing.
I didn’t have a headache, but
Thank you for doing that.

water
The water was lovely and cool.
Just how I like it.
Thanks for refilling the bowl.

dog food
The contents of the other bowl look tempting.
It’s too hot to eat at the moment,
But thank you for my dinner.

maggie and cushion
No, I don’t want to lie down.
But I know you plumped up the cushion especially,
I appreciate it.

maggie on foot
I think I’ll just sit here
And look at you.
Hard.

Maybe then you’ll see
And finally understand:

I’M BORED!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Sorry you had a boring day. Mine was a very busy day filled with cleaning and cooking and installing a new rug in the laundry (the old one got wet and started to fall apart)…

    • Glad you managed to replace your rug. We have carpet through the house except in the kitchen and bathroom. In the cottage we had quarry tiled floors and rugs. It was much better!!
