Today is Friday 12th June

This is the weather forecast:
Needless to say we are not going out for a walk just yet, but Maggie has performed the best poo to date in the garden so there’s no rush.
I really must get a life as to get all excited about the state of one’s dog’s faeces needs help!
Hubby is in an even worse state of mind than me as he asked if I took a picture!!!!
The day promises more of the same old, same old of late, though yesterday I broke routine and had a shower in the afternoon.  I’d been up to the supermarket on my own and there was a chap who was crowding my space. In the queue, I put my empty trolley behind me to make him back off, but even then he stretched across it to load the conveyor belt close to the divider I’d put there for his convenience, which was some distance from the end of the line of my own shopping.
Home then, and into the shower having it as hot as I could stand, double scrubbing my hair and standing under the running water for a good five minutes.
I have never felt like this, and I don’t like it one iota.

Today is toilet cleaning day. Sounds gross doesn’t it but both Hubby and I are sticklers for keeping loos and sinks clean, so ours gets cleaned at least twice a day. We’ve got a build up of limescale so we’ve put some stuff down the pan to bubble away and hopefully bubble it off in the process. I hope we don’t get this scenario

I’ve had a late start to the day as Hubby let me sleep on until 9.30. Maggie was curled up beside me so she must’ve been tired too.

Lunch today is the second part of our chili. I thought I didn’t have enough for two so took some prawns out for me. However, looks were deceptive so I’ll have them in a sandwich later.

Have a good day and take care everybody.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Di, your post made me smile. It is good to giggle about the normal things in life. My life has felt so abnormal for so long.

Hahaha! I went on vacation and took photos of all kinds of wild animal scat (poo). I even had a park ranger give me a special tour of an off limits area so I could photograph mule deer poop! so your husband’s question about a picture isn’t too odd in my book! Sleeping is is a luxury but I’m hoping to do that tomorrow…

    • It seems to take ages for me to drop off to sleep and I’m awake around 5.30 – 6 am. I can go back to sleep for a couple of hours then, and it’s really deep so makes up for lost time I guess.
I can imagine to poop gallery.
