Thanks

I have a lot to be thankful for both in and out of my blog life.
My thanks always go to my readers and followers, as without them, my blog wouldn’t exist.

The 10 weeks of Thursday applause for our NHS and those in the front line was a united effort to show the Nation’s thanks to those who we so often take for granted.

It costs nothing to say Thank You.
Hubby and I say it all the time to shop staff who serve us at the counters or on the shop floor if we’ve got a query. We’ve discovered it can be the two most important words in our vocabulary, as it can lift someone’s spirits and raise a smile.  Both of us have worked with the public and know what a thankless task it can be, so for someone to say ‘Thank You’  or simply ‘Thanks’ makes it all worthwhile.

The most precious Thank You I ever had was from the mother of a foster child who stayed with me for a fortnight. She never had a good word to say about anyone, and never thanked anybody for anything, but I got a letter. I still have it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Saying “Thank you” takes but a moment and improves our day by loads.

  3. Thank you is very important, Di. I can say that my work colleagues are always very good about thanking me and I appreciate it. It makes my very stressful job better.

  4. Thank you seems simple but it has a huge impact

I was taught magic as a child – the magic words were Please and Thank-you!
