Sunday Writing Prompt “Secret Admirer”

Yves Challenge:

I want you to write a letter from the perspective of the admirer. You can go sweet and soulful or intense and obsessive. Alternately you can write a series of intense, short love/erotic letters between two people.

Dear Selina,

You may or may not have noticed me, but no matter.
I just wanted you to know that you are the sunshine in my world, the music in my silence, and the warmth in my emptiness.
Every day I hear your gentle voice, imagine you are talking to me and me alone, that I am the centre of your universe as you are mine.
We are so different you and I, opposite sides of the tracks don’t even begin to cover it, but most of us cannot help who we love, even if it is so painfully obvious our feelings aren’t returned.
I sit on the sidelines and listen as you reassure others, your kind ways and compassion, how you take their hand in yours and soothe away their pain.
You are unique, rare and priceless, all things wonderful rolled into one beautiful package, and I am honoured to know you.
I am old enough to be your grandfather, but what I feel for you goes beyond that of family.
When my time comes, I hope it is you chosen to sit with me for those last precious hours, when I will be the centre of your attention as I slip from this world into the next.
Never change Sweet Angel.
Respectively yours,

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
