Just a thought about ‘About’

I appreciate every one of my followers, and when someone new clicks that button, I like to check them out.
It’s a shame that sometimes the ‘follower’ has a site that has no personal details whatsoever about them, no ‘About’ page, and their posts have no narratives, though stunning pictures, or they have reblogged other work.
Each to their own, but if someone has taken the time to read my stuff, it would be nice to know a little bit about them too.

Just a thought……………….

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I enjoy learning about people too. I really love everyone’s blogs and their different views on things. I feel so blessed to live in a time I can “meet” so many different people in a forum like this!

Hmmm….. the elusive re-re-re- follower is back.

Agree, though sometimes I follow based on posts alone if the writing appeals to me…

  4. quiall says:

I agree. I should probably update mine.

I couldn’t remember if I even had anything About on the About page… yes I did but I’ve added a little more! I needed to update that and it had completely slipped my mind! (I try to do it every January but forgot.)

  6. Fandango says:

I wholeheartedly agree. If a blogger doesn’t have an About page, I won’t follow him or her.

  7. I agree it is always nice to know something about the person behind the pen

  8. Liz says:

I look out for the about me page too, so I can get a gist about the blogger, whether their posts appeal to me or not.

  9. I know right! I do the same thing too but sometimes they don’t have a site. The “About Page” is the one things I read whenever I come across a new blog. It helps one know more about the blogger in question

after reading, and commenting, I went and updated my “about ” page..and discarded two other worthless pages no one ever paid attention to…thanks for the reminder sweetie!
