Today is Monday 11th May

Back to normal and Maggie got me up at 3 am and again at 5.45. No problems though as she did what she needed to do and then it was back to bed.
Hubby has another INR blood test due today as he is still out of range and the nurse will be coming to the house. I just hope it isn’t raining like it was last week, though we had a brolly up for her. Sadly the brolly was broken and Hubby managed a one-off repair, so we can’t offer that now.
It’s cold and bitter again today. Yesterday’s wind chill took temperatures down to minus 2, and there is a seven degree difference today taking the real feel down to 1º C.  Showers are due, and I’d just got back from walking the dog when we had the first. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say it was Winter, November, and what was falling out of the sky was sleet.

I was going through my photos and came across a picture of a card I’d used from the internet. I reckon I could turn out something similar so may well have a go later, or
I could start one of the other books I have. The Sudoku books are almost completed apart from the very hard ones which both of us always get in a mess with. I used to like doing the Logic Puzzles too, but I need no distractions whatsoever to be in with a chance of getting it right, and the dog tends to be demanding one way or another if she’s not asleep!

Weigh in today and I’ve put on two pounds. Not surprising with the cheesecake and pancakes this week, but I’m still within target and confident I can lose it again.

Chili for dinner today and tomorrow. I’ll add a chopped carrot to give it a bit more texture and serve it with rice. Maggie will have some of the cooked meat before I add anything else and then some rice for her ‘afters’.

The sun’s come out now but that wind is still fierce.

Have a good day, take care everyone and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

It’s been freezing cold here for days and the other day we had rain, snow and hail. Everything’s topsy-turvey, even the weather.

  3. scifihammy says:

You have winter and we still have summer weather – 20C today. Seems we need social isolation a little longer for the weather to right itself! 🙂

  4. Liz says:

Yes, the weather is certainly different today.

Your weather is as wonky and ours is!
