Flower power in the garden

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have an elderly dog called Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Di, your garden is beautiful, and that arch! You and your hubby work hard in that garden and it sure is paying off.

    • We’re getting there Fransi. Last year Hubby dug a circle and we threw in a whole box of mixed flower seed. It was glorious and we’ve just left it. My pictures don’t do it justice but it’s a riot of colour. Our clematis is fabulous and we are really pleased with it. Hopefully we’ll have some roses later.

It is fabulous and it must be so gratifying. Gazing out at that sight would make even the gloomiest day seem bright.

      • I love to watch the blackbirds listening for worms. We hope to put the feeder tree back up later but have no containers as they were all contaminated by Ratilda. The birds are starting to come in, though we have to keep an eye open for the sparrowhawk as it takes the chicks.
